Generally women desire to have flat abs or a sensual six-pack. The thrill of showing off the belly button is never endless aspiration. This is also an overwhelming thought for many women.
And at times the idea of having to lose excess fat is misunderstood. A lot of women have no intentions on targeting their ab muscles since they think they would loose weight to do it. Or these women ignore a complete body out and emphasize only on crunches. In actuality, getting a full body workout can still help you achieve flat abs. Muscle building workouts will help you burn calories faster. Calories are burnt by the muscles 24 hours even while an individual is asleep. Gaining more muscles through different kinds of exercises and/or workout helps you get stronger, burn fat and get a flat stomach. Pilates is one way for women to accomplish this. Practicing Pilates can strengthen your whole body by focusing on your core. Another technique that helps women remove those fat abs is through Cardio. Cardio exercises like speed walking for example can be a good starting workout for beginners as well as exercise enthusiasts. But when doing Cardio it also has to be kept in mind that the pace you do the workout also has to increase.
Making the dream of having great bas is possible for some women by adding certain ab exercises. Raised leg crunches is one of the great ab exercises. Start by lying flat on our back and hand behind your ears. Then bending your legs at a 90 degree angle off of the floor.Start by pulling both knees towards your head, forcing your midsection into a crunch position. Then, return back to the starting position by lowering your knees back. This kind of workout concentrates mainly on the abs which is makes it a great ab workout for women. For beginners, repeat this for 30 seconds.
The Super Crunches is another workout that includes all the muscles in the abdomens and legs. This type of exercise is also like the raised leg crunch which is also done by lying flat on your back on the floor. Your legs must be parallel to the ceiling and 90 degrees bent off the floor. Then bring both knees towards the head. As you bring your head towards your knees, you are exhaling and aiming your abs. This exercise can be repeated for a time frame of 30 seconds. Crunches are pivotall for women since it does not only help you achieve flat abs but it also raises the metabolism which helps burn calories. Not to mention that the pacing and intensity can be easily modified to fit your comfort level.

When you’re ready to slim up and flatten your abs make sure not to focus just on ab workouts, to achieve results it will require a full body workout. To eat through the fat sitting on your belly, just focus on two things, burning calories and building muscle.
First let’s start with the easy part, burning calories.
Your using up energy all day long and even while you’re sleeping. The key is to move around. Full body workouts will help you to be more active and thus burn more calories and by happy coincidence you’re also building muscle.
Women can target their abs with a full body workout known as Pilates. Pilates will help you to build muscle, burn fat and target your core with focused exercises. Flat abs can also be achieved with other workouts like cardio. Use it as a stepping stone to more difficult and results driven exercises.
A low intensity cardio exercise can be a quick walk around the park all while burning calories and not burning yourself out. Just remember though, low intensity does not mean no intensity, if things start getting too easy, be sure to push yourself a little further.
Try raised leg crunches, a lot of women have found success with this ab workout since it directly targets the abs. To do this work-out right, lay flat on the ground with your hands behind your head and bend your legs at a 90 angle off the floor, the bring your knees toward your head while flexing your abs, repeat the process. Keep it up for about 30 seconds, you’ll find the exercise hits the abs and your legs directly, both are important for a strong core and flat abs.
After you’ve done the raised leg crunches for a while you can move on to a more difficult exercise like the super crunches. This exercise will work your entire abdomen and your lower and upper legs. This exercise can take place in the same position as the raised leg crunch but you need to make sure the legs are parallel to the ceiling when bringing your knees to your head. Crunch your core and don’t hold back.
Women this ab workout will stretch you to your limits, make sure you’re exhaling as you bring your knees up. Crunches are an essential part to any workout regimen, you’ll burn fat and build muscle.
In time and as the intensity builds your abs will start to show and you’ll finally achieve the flat abs you’ve always wanted!

Lower abs is one of the most important and hard to reach sections of body. Yet they are tragically ignored in most exercises. However doing just lower ab exercises can do more harm than good. Lower ab exercises must be coupled with upper abs and full body workout for best results. Some of the best lower ab exercises are different kinds of leg raising exercises. Below is a brief explanation of a few.
The Hanging Leg Raise exercise
While hanging on a bar or an abs chair, slowly move your knees up as high as you can reach towards your chin or chest in a folded leg position. Then slowly release your leg back to its original position. This must be repeated 5 -6 times initially and later can be increased to 20 repetitions. This exercise must be done slowly and is one of the best lower ab exercises.
Double Leg Lift Exercise
Lying straight on the floor, place your hands under your butt. Now slowly without bending the knees, raise both legs simultaneously to 45 degrees and then to 90 degrees. Hold this position for a few minutes then lower your legs down slowly and gradually.Lower Abs

You want some abs, right?
You want to lose stomach fat and get a firm, flat stomach…maybe even with a little definition…maybe even a six-pack.
Who doesn’t? I know I do. That’s why I work so hard to get and maintain my physique.
It was tough, but it’s not impossible. I’m sick of hearing people say they don’t have the genetics to lose stomach fat and get a firm, flat stomach, let alone get six-pack abs.
That’s a bunch of crap! If you’re reading this, you can lose stomach fat. As a matter of fact, you can lose as much stomach fat as you want and even get that six-pack.
You just need to do things differently than you are right now.
First, if you’re not doing anything…do something. Sounds stupid, but you’d be surprised how often I need to tell people that.
Second, you need to stop doing crunches, sit-ups, twists, leg lifts, etc. Doing hundreds and thousands of those exercises every week will not help you lose stomach fat, let alone get a flat, firm stomach and they especially won’t help you get a six-pack. Not when you have a layer of flabby goo sitting on your waist line.
You need to burn the fat off your stomach and to do that you need to eat right and you need to do fat burning full body workouts.
Here’s an example of a fat loss workout I just gave to a client that was specifically designed to help him lose stomach fat and get six-pack abs.
Perform this workout as a circuit and do as many circuits as you can in 15 minutes. Do this circuit before your regular workout when you’re still fresh 2-3 times per week for the next 4 weeks.
1A) Dumbbell Split Squat – 10 reps per side
1B) “T” Push-up – 10 reps
1C) Overhead Squat – 10 reps
1D) Cross Body Mountain Climber – 30 seconds
1E) Push-up w/Dumbbell Row – 8 per arm
That workout will work your entire body, and each exercise is designed to put extra emphasis on your abs. If you do it right, you will feel it in your abs and you will lose stomach fat.
As far as fat loss nutrition and fat loss cardio go, here’s the easiest things I can tell you. When it comes to nutrition, you’ve got to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, no juices sorry, limit any food that comes in a bag or box and cut your dinner portions by about 25%.
For cardio, stick with interval training rather than boring steady state cardio that lasts for hours upon hours on end. Interval training is proven to burn more stomach fat than steady state cardio and has helped virtually everyone I’ve ever trained lose stomach fat fast.
Now that you are armed with that fast six-pack abs workout designed to help you lose stomach fat, plus you’ve got a little more advice when it comes to fat loss nutrition and fat loss cardio…get to it!
Do the workout and eat more fruits and veggies and you will see dramatic results in terms of stomach fat. You will have a firm, flat stomach and who knows you may even get that six-pack.

Ab Workouts Do not Get Rid of Stubborn Belly Fat

Most people are constantly searching for the best ab workouts to lose belly fat or gain six pack abs. They believe that some miracle ab workouts can help them get a flat stomach. While everyone has varying amount of excess body fat in the abdominal region, the best way to burn off extra belly fat continues to elude most.
The truth is ab workouts do NOT get rid of belly fat. They only tone and strengthen the underlying abdominal muscles. The main focus should be on a full body resistance training workout that maximizes your fat burning and metabolism boosting effect.
Doing lots of slow cardio isn’t an effective and efficient way to lose body fat either. It does not create the greatest metabolic or hormonal response. Studies have shown that people who performed cardio-based workout routines lost significantly less body fat compared to people who did mainly resistance training based routines. Some even gained body fat on the cardio-based workouts! What you really need is a complete training program that focuses on training the entire body with resistance training and multi-joint exercises in a higher intensity fashion.
The key secret to losing excess belly fat is a combination of healthy diet and high intensity full body workout. This is much more effective than doing endless crunches, sit ups or leg raises. In fact, abdominal exercises do NOT burn stomach fat.
Don’t even waste your money on ab gadgets, machines or belts… they don’t work either. If you had been suckered into buying any of them, you were ripped off!
I see people giving incorrect advice on ab training in fitness forums. Consequently, many still believe that they have to do hundred reps of ab workouts to lose belly fat or get six-pack abs. Don’t listen to this type of advice!
Nevertheless, a certain amount of ab specific exercises is beneficial when combined with a proper full body workout. Ab exercises help to strengthen and tone abdominal muscles, support a healthy back and improve posture when done correctly. Remember, ab exercises do not reduce belly fat and should only form a very small part of your workouts.
The 2 most important aspects are full body training workouts and a healthy and balanced diet. Many of the full body exercises also indirectly work the abdominals and core due to the stabilization required in some of the more difficult variations.

Best Ab Workout for Losing Belly Fat: is There Really One?

The answer to the age-old question of “What is the best ab workout for losing stomach fat?” is…
None! Ab workouts alone don’t create enough of a metabolic response in your body to create fat loss.
I’ve met countless people who asked me what the best types of exercises and workouts are for losing stubborn belly fat in order to bring out visible six pack abs. They are searching for some “miracle abdominal workout” that could get rid of their abdominal fat in no time.
The fact is… they are dealing with the problem in the completely wrong way! The truth is that you don’t lose stomach fat by doing ab workouts.
It is a waste of time and effort if you focus on doing abdominal exercises and ab workouts in order to flatten your stomach and bring out 6-pack abs. Instead, you should be performing correct workout programs that will reduce and keep off your body fat for good.
What then are the best exercises for losing stomach fat? Full body exercises… such as various forms of squats, lunges, deadlifts, clean & presses, snatches, swings, presses and pulls, mountain climbers, sprinting, etc.
These types of full body exercises stimulate maximum metabolic response in your body and increase fat burning hormone levels, thus helping you to burn body fat in less time. In addition, a side effect of working out using mostly full body multi-joint combo exercises is that you indirectly work your entire midsection even though you are not specifically targeting the abs. Abdominal and core specific exercises should only form a small part of your workout program.
Bear in mind that nutrition is the key to losing belly fat and developing visible abs. If live on a diet of processed, high sugar and high trans fat foods, it will be impossible for you to lose belly fat no matter how hard you workout. Nutrition is without a doubt the “king of getting a six pack”.
So let’s clear this up for good…
Don’t waste time on situps, crunches, leg raises, and money on all those worthless “ab gadgets” in your efforts to develop 6-pack abs. Instead focus on high intensity full body workouts using combination multi-joint exercises all strategically combined into highly effective fat loss workouts. Combined that with a clean diet full of natural unprocessed wholesome foods and minimal trans fat, and those elusive six-pack abdominals will be yours in no time!
Check out below for more tips on losing belly fat and getting flat sexy 6-pack abs for life.

Advertising for 15 Minute Abs Just Feed the Negative Impressions of Ourselves
November 18, 2009 by admin

Most of us will go to any lengths necessary to get our bodies into the perceived form of the perfect human being. Unfortunately this is just not a possibility for all of us, and most of us will readily fall for those claims that tell us that we can achieve perfect abs within a matter of weeks, or that we too can join the revolution and have 15 minute abs.
With all the advertising and in-your-face magazines that abound in the world today, it’s no wonder that most of us today have inferiority complexes when it comes to our bodies. It doesn’t matter whether we are generally fit or not, unless we look like the people who grace our TV screens and the cover of magazines, we will most likely be unhappy with ourselves (hence all the advertising for 15 minute abs – they just feed our negative impressions of ourselves).
What you don’t realise when you buy into these claims however, is that you are also required to have a healthy diet to go along with these exercises which we are supposed to perform, as well as have some sort of full body workout for the results to be readily achievable.
This is the same thing with any of the exercise machines which you see on the market. If only you take the time to do so, you will see that the small print says that that 15 minute workout you need to do on that particular machine will only work miracles for you along with a balanced diet and overall body workout.
Buying into these claims won’t do you an ounce of good, but if you only take the time and the effort to look around, you might be surprised to learn that you can indeed get 15 minute abs, if only you know how.
So for instance, if you do the exercises which those magazines and things claim will give you a six pack, but combine it as well with a steady workout and general overall healthy lifestyle, you might find that 15 minute abs are within your reach after all. By all means do the 15 minute abs workouts and things which you find, but also remember to incorporate them into a healthy lifestyle as well.
And the next time that you reach eagerly for that magazine promising you 15 minute abs, or when you stare eagerly at the TV screen which is even now advertising a state of the art exercise machine that will give you a “15 minute abs workout”, you can think twice about all the hype and the hoopla, and go in for the type of 15 minute abs workout that’s good for you.
